I'm sure there's some Miyazaki fans in here:
Fathom events is doing showings of Princess Mononoke during the last week of July.

The Tale is so good. I can understand why HBO would pick it up just cause it has a higher chance of reaching it out to a larger audience. This could've been an Oscar contender.

I'm suffering from the heat and had watermelon for breakfast which made me think of The Wayward Cloud. Have any of you seen it? It's such a great movie with just the right amount of musical numbers and giant penis costumes.

I remember seeing The Wayward Cloud awhile back, I remember enjoying it.
Also didn't realize that Tsai Ming Liang directed it, cause I watched a couple of his films recently a couple weeks ago.

Sicario 2 was good but not as good as the original. Maybe just barely good enough to justify making a sequel. Interested to see where they go for #3.

I’m going into this fully expecting an Alien/Aliens type situation and the Pink Panther movies will forever and always hold a special place in my heart “...a little bit of this and a little bit of that”

I'm kind of curious as to why Sicario needed a sequel at all after watching it this weekend? It ends so great, doesn't really feel like there is anything more to see.

I'm kind of curious as to why Sicario needed a sequel at all after watching it this sabado domingo? It ends so great, doesn't really feel like there is anything more to see. It didn't need one per se, but now that it has one, Brolin's and Del Toro's characters have even more richness to them.

Annihilation has been my favorite so far this year. Hereditary is a super close second.

Read some people saying it didn't have the depth that the first one had....but it didn't try to? It was funny, very well paced and had awesome action sequences. They weren't overt in any theme, at least via exposition, so it didn't feel hollow. They didn't really make an attempt at being "deep". Which is totally fine.

Hereditary and Annihilation are the most memorable 2018 movies for me so far. Funny enough, I am realizing I've spent a lot more time watching movies I've missed from other years than keeping up with shit in theaters now. I feel like I would have a hard time even doing a top 10!

The previews to Incredibles 2 looked really bad and actively not funny.

Same here, Radiation. I missed Lean On Pete, You Were Never Really Here, and a couple others that may’ve been on my list.
I’m currently rewatching Sideways after more than a decade and am being reminded of how good it is. The dry humor is so on point.

Death Of Stalin would definitely be on my list, but it’s technically a 2017 flick, right?
