Watched Millennium Actress the other day and thought it was a kinda boring. I loved Perfect Blue and really enjoyed Paprika as well. I still wanna watch his other movies though

Just watched Olivier Assayas's Cold Water and loved it, I also saw Personal Shopper a while back and really liked that as well. Gonna try to catch DemonLover this week, this guy rules.

Just showed my gf The Passion of Joan of Arc. Legitimately a perfect movie One of the GOATs. Do you know what score you watched it with? The Adrian Utley (Portishead) & Will Gregory (Goldfrapp) one kicks ass. I'm sure the other ones are good too.

I saw the Voices of Light version and it was great and fit really well. I didn’t realize there were other options to go with!

My one theater that does classic films announced this and The Mummy 25th anniversary screenings all this week. Might not be able to do it on Alien day but definitely making it a double feature day on Sunday

Watched Late Night with the Devil the other night. 3/4ths of it pretty damn good. The third fourth was a bit rough and felt hastily put together.

Civil War was sick, great performances from the main four, a couple of goofy bits in the middle, one that spoilt the most intense scene of the movie, but overall it rocked

Everyone has the same apinion of Late Night
Shit rocks, sucks you in, ending stinks, but really doesn’t matter because it was all of 10 minutes of a movie that otherwise rocked hard (in a good way, in a good way).
Don’t think I’ll ever watch it again through my own volition, but for a one-time ride, that shit was a lot of fun and I’m glad I saw it in a packed theater because it heightens the experience of so many movies, especially fun horrors.

Hereditary in IMAX, while seemingly unnecessary, was a nice reminder of how gorgeous that movie is. Lighting is impeccable.
This is my 4th or so watch of it, and this go around I felt like certain parts felt a little clunky pacing-wise. Otherwise still fantastic, haters be damned. Definitely giving me the curiosity to rewatch Beau Is Afraid.

has anyone seen I Saw the TV Glow? Is it the predictable retro nostalgia bait stuff it appears to be?

has anyone seen I Saw the TV Glow? Is it the predictable retro nostalgia bait stuff it appears to be? It's not out yet, but that director did We Are Going to The World's Fair, which I wasn't super pumped on it, but I did admire certain aspect of it. I thought it does a great job of depicting people who are terminally online. I Saw the TV Glow does look more accessible, but I heard it's been getting Gregg Araki comparisons, so I'm a bit more stoked based on that.
