do you need a rental car in san francisco? i just found some decent flights to SFO in late august but my funds are quite limited. also, besides airbnb, any hints for cheap-ish stays?

I wouldn’t bother unless you’re planning to go see the sequoias or somewhere further than Oakland, Berkeley. Parking is a bitch and it’s a super walkable, transit friendly place.

Just getting into the churning credit cards for travel points game. Looking to get the southwest companion pass in 2019 so me and my girlfriend can travel BOGO in the US for a while.
I really want to go to Nepal but my girlfriend is not into it and it's not a trip I can see myself doing solo.

Been really happy with it so far aside from not being able to book southwest using chase points online.

Might move to Arizona for a few months. Prescott area. Anything a New Yorker should know? Never been to the South West. Sunblock and golf.

If you have either of the SW chase cards I'd use your link later in the year. Looking to get SW companion pass in January 2019 so we can have it for most of 2019 and 2020.

Haha so long as I can afford to drink good beer and eat some good food I’ll be happy! Going to the football on a couple of the days which I’m excited for, always enjoy a trip to Parken!

Whatever. All of you can drop dead. Only after you eat my dick on a plate, sorry loser. He'll take your sister's leftovers. Looking to do an Alaskan cruise next summer. Charging everything to a travel credit card to score up points, hopefully it'll pay for close to the whole thing.

Recently was suggested going to Prague (Czech Republic) from a friend of a friend- apparently “for two grand American you will live like a king for a week or two”. Guess the nightlife is happening, food is A1 and women are gorgeous/ love American muchachos. I've been to Prague and it was awesome. You can comfortably get through a day on $50 max. Even that I think is pushing it.

I wen't about three years ago. Absolute dirt cheap place. I got frustrated pretty easily as it is very touristy. Do the free walking tours, they're rad. Beer sizes are double our normal size over there.

Trying to plan a trip to Norway/Sweden sometime next year to get tattooed in Oslo and Stockholm and see the countryside. Any tips on good time of year to go (probably not peak tourist season), transportation, basically any tips? Looking at maybe 10 days or so (will be leaving from San Francisco - flights look pretty reasonable to from SF to Oslo)

I had the Companion Pass for a couple years, and now my gf has it through 2019. Make sure you time it right so you can take advantage of it for as long as possible.

Saving up for a week in Greece next Spring. Only place on the planet I have to go before I die.
Last place I've flown to was Pittsburgh and that city rules.
I just came back from a week trip through Providence, Narraganset, Newport, RI and then through the entire Cape up to Provincetown.

That's the plan, hoping to get the miles as early as possible in 2019 so we can have it for as close to 24 months as possible

Been thinking of going away for a city break on my own lately, but tend to get a bit nervous about new places, especially with getting around. Any tips for an anxious guy looking to give this a try, as well as what to do when you're in your own company in a foreign country?

Sorry for the boring response but I find a lot pre-planning helps things go smoothly, scoping out places to eat, google maps, buses, trams before I go etc. It's just less to worry about in the long run and having to figure it all out on the spot. Having specific dietary requirements too it's just how I function, constantly planning and making lists. I visited LA by myself two years ago and as terrifying as it was, uber was a lifesaver.

Appreciate it man. I'm a habitual worrier and double-checker, so this is all stuff I'd do beforehand too.
