Fuck people who stand on the edge of the pit and expect to be safe, go stand in the back. If you’re on the edge you have a responsibility to contain the chaos and protect the people behind you, that’s not a spectator position. I’m a big fan of helping people out and picking them up but the best shows are the ones where personal preservation is the only thing on your mind, total lizard brain shit. If I missed a show where someone lost a tooth I’d be so bummed out, that sounds wild. V important point of discussion: the edge of the hc pit is absolutely vital to a successful expierence. The primary ring serves to facilitate action and direction, while removing debris(bodies) and containing violence. You should acktshually expect more violence on the edges than elsewhere in a proper pit. i walked away from a show at anchors up looking like a dolphin because I was not paying attention at the edge of the pit. I regret not getting on stage and asking the band to buy me a burrito at tacos lupita |

Dead Hearts aren’t even that hard. Most of my mosh related injuries while I was moshing were due to me being clumsy as fuck. Definitely been hit hard in the head from crowd killing and large men stand diving, but I figure I’m not at Benoit levels so I’m good. |
