Good band and very apropos, I remember reading a zine interview where they directly mentioned Scowl as being a corporate band
Yes it's in the Grand Scheme zine by Shining Life, great one! That interview is so honest it's refreshing.
Checked them out because of FFO Straight Ahead. I don’t hear that at all but this still rules. Stick Together is a good comparison but I also get lots of Iron Boots and a bit of Minority Unit and maybe True Colors or something. Moshers Delight is a pretty apt comparison. Sounds like Intent and is not as blatant Straight Ahead worship without being Free Spirit, but very much in that vein. I kinda like that everyone is hearing different influences but staying within the same lane, I really feel like they nailed the sound they were going for with that EP. |

For anyone who fucks with the Northern Unrest label out of Glasgow, they just released something by Hellbound and I got a good chuckle out of this description on the bandcamp: "A fusion of Cleveland hardcore and the grim and rolling hills of Scotland have made for a cinematic battle between the old guard and the pioneer spirit unknown outside of modern day GHC". They rip. Real ass band.
