Listening to the new Fiddlehead, and I wish bands like this would pick people that can actually sing to front their bands. The music is good, but Pat is essentially singing one note the entire time on every song. Does this drive anyone else crazy? Thatβs the best part actually!

I download music to a desktop computer, meticulously tag it, and then transfer it to my phone via cable because I'm neurotic and a fucking nerd

Wild that Spineβs been around since 2011. Bummed I lost my copy of the demo and havenβt found it again. I thought Time Has Gone was solid, Faith didnβt hit as hard, and this new one is pretty solid.

What kind of TT do you own? It's a vintage Pioneer PL-40 I thrifted from a garage sale, and I'm running it through a rehabbed Kenwood KR40-70 also thrifted. The Kenwood had effed up pots which I had a guy clean for me, and never had any issues with the turntable. When I hooked up the turntable, it would only play 45s at the appropriate speed. LPs were spinning way too fast, like Alvin and the Chipmunks fast. If the 45s play correctly, the belt might actually be fine it, sounds like the switch that toggles between 33 and 45 that's busted.

Mostly physical media, but I have a 256 gig phone so I have access to my entire digital library.

That's a good point. I'll check that out first.

How do ya'll consume music nowadays? Spotify exclusively? Sit beside a record player? Mp3s on your phone? What is your preferred method in this modern era? At home mostly physical: LPs/CDs, tapes once in a while On the go: mp3zzz on tha IPhone At work: mp3zzz/bandcamp/youtube depending of which release I wanna listen to.

I still buy records very regularly but my main consumption is Spotify while driving or at work. I had everything on iTunes oh my phone but that just took up way too much space.
That new Doomsday is great. Creator Destructor is such an awesome label altogether.

I still buy cds all the time and will always mention them on a bands page if they announce something new and all they have is vinyl options. Cant stand that bullshit.

Apple music and YouTube mainly. I subscribe to a couple hc/punk YouTube channels that upload new demos and eps daily. Itβs how I stay up on newer bands. Full lengths i download on apple.

I recently downloaded the Bandcamp app, and I'm slowly figuring out how it works. Can you only create playlists with music you've purchased?

Yea you can only make playlists with stuff youve purchased. You only get like 3 or 4 plays of something you havent purchased either after that they put up this lil pop up asking to "open up your heart".

if youβre the kind of person that cares or notices, the bandcamp app streams in shitty 128kbps quality unless itβs something youβve purchased and youβre on wifi. iβm not over here listening to FLACs or anything but cymbals can sound noticeably weird and washy at that bitrate and bass can sound weak.

Eventually going to get an old desktop, throw a refurbed harddrive in it, and throw all my tradersden bootlegs n shit on it.
Iβm so stoked to be in a position where I can just walk into a record store and look for shit again.

Sold all my records when my ex-girlfriend dumped me two years ago and I moved back to my hometown.
Today, I regret neither of them.
Spotify is all I need to listen to Millencolin.

Usually grabs 320 kbps MP3s from Soulseek or just convert albums down from FLAC if that's my only option. Then I just store them on my phone like an ipod. Don't use apps like spotify or anything.

This was me until the HD containing all my music died. Now I just pay for Spotify like a little bitch. Feels bad man π’

Spotify saves so much time I used to waste downloading, correcting tags, and keeping everything organized. 100% worth it. I'd also gladly pay $10 more if all of it wen't to the artists.
