I dig it. Do I need to watch Paul (2011) now? Never seen it.

pain of truth just sounds like backtrack Backtrack were one of the most average bands.. like they werent BAD but there was nothing that made them stand out. I would usually leave halfway through their set. Pain of Truth are great.

I liked the intro on the first song on the Pain Of Truth record. Other than that it was pretty underwhelming. If it didn’t have prominent features on almost all the tracks would people still care as much?

Backtrack had some tracks but in euroland, everybody was just waiting for Darker Half and their turn to mosh the stage. Rest of the set was always far less energetic...

If it didn’t have prominent features on almost all the tracks would people still care as much? I mean, all their songs prior to the LP have had features (King Nine, Billy Club Sandwich, Simulakra, Gridiron, others), just nowhere near as big as the ones on the LP. Still, people love those first seven songs.

pain of truth is not for me. derivative hardcore 101. I liked the intro on the first song on the Pain Of Truth record. Other than that it was pretty underwhelming. If it didn’t have prominent features on almost all the tracks would people still care as much? who actually cares about features?

"features" on a hardcore record is an incredibly weird concept

features were pretty common in the mid 2000s?
terror's one with the underdogs had jasta / ezec (spit my rage), corey williams (crushed by the truth), freddy madball (find my way).
bitter end ep had jason tarpey (meltdown)
blacklisted had joe hardcore (eye for an eye)
integrity had human furnace (hollow)
that's off the top of my head. features aren't an insane concept. features on every song is ambitious but who cares, it's fun.

Late 2000s, but one of my favorites:
