We broke into my friends little sisters journal and passed it around reading the entries and laughing, it was so cruel. I remember her entries being like “why do guys want you to go through all the trouble of shaving when they only last 3 seconds? And it hurts so bad that I wish they only lasted one second”.

One time I dated this guy and he had me housesit while he was out of town so I was bored and read his journal (editor's note: I wouldnt do this again but I was young and already pretty sure he didn't like me all that much and just saw me as a midlife crisis girlfriend to get over his ex-wife) I opened it up and there was a page there about me, and how I am "sweet" and "a nice girl" but he is having hang-ups about being attracted to my body. I compartmentalized that and just pretended it never happened so for the next two years or so I felt very guilty I ever did that and genuinely let it go and forgot that it upset me. He was a very good boyfriend to me and changed the course of my life in every possible way and was also the first one to fuck me in the ass. I knew for all his shadiness he would never dare say this to me directly so it was kind of fine. I loved him more than he could understand, and I said I love you to him but he never said it back so I just never said it again out of discomfort. Then around two years later when the relationship started to go to shit and I was reduced to coming over to his place just to clean it up and was not even getting fucked anymore it was all I could think about. Now in hindsight the mature thing would have been to admit I did that when it happened or at least break it up when things started to go bad. But I started to become so unbelievably enraged that that wasn't enough for me, and I remembered again, and I actually saw red every time I saw those words in my head, which were becoming more and more pronounced and burned in my mind every time I thought of them. So I decided to devote myself to pretending to be the best girlfriend he'd ever had, since he clearly loved being sad about why it didn't work out with his ex-wife and only ideated on what he couldn't have. I knew he was actually sad he was turning 40 soon so I spent the next six months happily coming over just to clean up his place and make sure he's okay, bringing him thoughtful little gifts etc until breaking up with him around his birthday. Most ladies really don't like getting poked in the Khyber, I hope this dude lays awake at night thinking about how he squandered it. I dated a girl briefly who was very into it and I was too much in party mode to commit to a relationship, I mourned the loss of amazing sex for months afterwards haha |
