The books I've completed this year:
Spring Snow - Yukio Mishima Une saison en enfer (A Season in Hell) - Rimbaud The Stranger - Albert Camus The Pachinko Parlor - Elisha Shua Dusapin
Currently reading Nausea by Jean-Paul Sartre. Kind of a slog so far but just hit a juicy bit I think.

jan: genesis p-orridge, thurston moore and geezer butler's autobiographies Reviews?? gen was cool cuz genesis was an interesting, cool mf
thurston's was really name-droppy and he didn't talk about making music nearly enough
geezer's was what you would expect from a rocker of his age: short and only of interest if you're a fan

I think think The Crossing is my favorite out of the three. I started it last Monday. It's probably going to take me two months to read it. Some books I'll read on the fly, this is strictly on my couch when there's no one home.

I might do Blood Meridian or All the Pretty Horses next. They’re both locked and loaded on my shelf. I’m halfway through The Sirens of Titan right now.

I’m cruising through ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’. Didn’t expect it to be so funny or British.

I might do Blood Meridian or All the Pretty Horses next. They’re both locked and loaded on my shelf. I’m halfway through The Sirens of Titan right now. Blood Meridian is one of the hardest books I feel like I've read TBH, it's like a dense, monotonous, esoteric nightmare. ATPH reads perfectly and is gorgeous. Very dope emotional narrative with the darkness of McCarthy that most people like but it's not all encompassing. Both are excellent

Got a Kobo e-reader recently and I like it a lot, been reading V by Thomas Pynchon on it. Been also switching back and forth between Blood Meridian and Crime and Punishment

Wasn't super into Nausea (Sartre) but it was definitely interesting. When it was good it was good, but a decent bit of it felt paceless, unfortunately. I appreciate the concepts and thought behind it.

I always like Camus better than Sartre -- also tried Nausea a while back and it never really hit.
Just finished Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead and thought it was fantastic. I read his dedication at the end and was surprised he was a Misfits fan. Might look into some of his other books -- should I do that Nickel Boys trilogy, or start somewhere else?
