So I did see Charley twice last week. He got the place jumping in Eindhoven, we got a buncha encores and had a good time all around. Bottelare was quite the opposite. Strong setlist but the crowd kept chatting throughout the little solo number he did down the middle and that visibly bummed him out. Cue a string of real bluesy, sad guy songs and that was it. Wish I got to see him wear that nudie-esque suit but hey...

Been compiling a playlist over these last few months and so far I'm 74 songs deep. Some old, some new but little to no filler. Figured you boys 'n girls might enjoy it as well... Stopped cleaning my garage to pick up the phone and open the board up to find this thread and tell everyone to listen to this playlist or follow it or whatever because it’s straight fire if you are looking for that country heat. So good, well done man.

The Hamburg show sounds a lot like the Eindhoven one, the place was dancing and having a great time. I think we got three encores as well. At one point, during the encore when Charley C. was playing an accoustic song he started to get a lot of feedback out of no where and had to stop the song, he looked so bummed and no one in the crowd did anything but listen in silence. Felt bad for him, we tried to clap a little but didn't do much.
His outfit looked like he was some bad mid-western Sherif from 1982, made me chuckle.
The show was put on something called YeeHaw Hamburg and it was real weird. It was the first time I felt like I turly understood "cultural appropriation" of my own "culture". That feels stupid to even write, but Germans are fucking weridos.

The way he lays down his verses reminds me of Jake Xerxes Fussell. Good track none the less though.

So whose watching the PBS documentary? Promised to watch with my wife so we've only watched episode one which I enjoyed, I like Jimmie Rodgers but didn't know much, so it was a fun watch and excited for the others.

I've seen the first three at this point. Pretty good! It's free on the PBS app btw for those interested.

Read some funny shit in the news today. Country stations won't play Cyrus' new song because it's "too Country". Can't make this shit up.
Not a fan, but the song sounds pretty good. Think it's called Chevys and Fords or something similar.

That new Charley joint is on point and comes right on time for all this fall weather we've been having.
In that same spirit, Kassi Valazza's album has been on heavy rotation as well.

Shit is AWFUL
What I CANT stop listening to is the Kacey Musgraves cover of Neon Moon

Kacey Musgraves is def backed. Pageant Material and Golden Hour are both great.
I'm absolutely loving the new Sturgill.
