I was recently revisiting James Joyce’s horny love letters to his wife, which I used to just laugh at but now do find kinda hot. They’re just so vivid.
But anyway, re-reading the notorious fart section, I’m wondering now if she was actually queefing rather than farting.

I think that could also explain why he finds her “farts” so much preferable compared to the farts of other women.

I think you're right that it was queefing. I think people with fart fetishes are way more into the smell than any other aspect of it.
