Question about TDS4E2: What was up with the screaming in the opening? I thought one of them may be still alive but... no....? Lund (I think that’s his name), is alive. They call Foster’s character in the following scene to say he’s lost limbs but is in a medically induced coma. Oh right... it just never came up again so I forgot haha. But that makes sense. Thanks. I'm enjoying this season. I love supernatural stuff but usually stuff in that field is... really bad. So whatever this is, isn't bad enough to stop watching haha.

I'm also a little confused why John Hawkes (who looks like Sean Penn in this, right?) has all those police files in his apartment? and doesn't want the police to have them for investigation. (Am I asking the right questions? hehehehehe)

i thought he had them cause of a flood @ the station? But then why does it have to be secretive that his son is taking them? I'm confused by that aspect I guess?

Really looking forward to what they really doing at the science station cause there's no way dudes who were up there for years with little/no contact with the outside were up to anything good.

Season 2 of Curious case of Natalia Grace is a hard watch. Even her adoptive father’s wacky antics aren’t enough to make me feel better after hearing the details of the abuse. Season 1 had me convinced she was a sociopath lmao what a wild family

I assume we’ll find out a lot more as the show goes on, they’re laying the groundwork for him being a pretty evil dude. From what we knows far he’s pretty resentful of his son’s relationship with Danvers. That alone seems to be enough for them to want it to be a secret. Jodie Foster is great and I think the sense of place is pretty amazing.

Man, the writing and tropes in TD are ridiculous. I can't believe they actually wrote in "uhhhh in English doc??"

I'm iffy on this season of TD. I love that they returned to the more supernatural and weird fiction elements that made season one so memorable; that, combined with the many influences (indigenous horror stories, The Thing). While the mystery is intriguing, there's something off about the writing and some of the acting/ delivery that leaves me unsatisfied. I completely acknowledge that I'm a freak for season 1, so I'll hold final judgment until the end of the Night Country.

Watching 11-22-63 right now on Hulu and have one episode left. I'm not a huge fan of Franco for personal reasons but he is good in this. The set pieces and wardrobe are great and so is the source material. I really want to watch this next

TDS1 is one of the greatest seasons of television ever. I try not to compare anything to it because of that.
New season is cool and interesting so far. Even if you think it’s weak so far, it’s still better than almost anything else currently airing.

Just finished American Nightmare. I wasn’t familiar with the case so it was a really interesting watch, and surprisingly not drawn out like most true crime series.

I'm enjoying it overall. The overall dialogue feels very similar to Band of Brothers and I like a lot of the cast. Austin Butler might be the hottest guy ever pause.

Show's ok. I liked Barry Keoghan yelling "I'm Irish" in an NYC-ish accent more than anything. Feels kind of shallow, but interesting in a technical sense.
Criminal Record is cool. I'm rewatching Northern Exposure for the first time since being a kid, and it's kind of fucked up. I can see why they didn't reboot this one.

Masters of Air cgi is unforgivably bad and everyone looks like they have an instagram filter.
Can’t even sniff the Pacific’s jock and that’s a low bar.

Night Country is worse than TDS2 Literally not possible. TDS2 was one of the worst seasons of television I've ever seen, let alone of True Detective. The dialog was laugh out loud ridiculous.
