We usually go get a beer at 2/3 bars we have not been to before as a little halloween tradition. Sometimes in costume, sometimes not. This year probably not. Also now that my bitch wife no longer drinks I have to do homework ahead of time to make sure they have NA Guinness, but that's okay.

Drinking beer without alcohol is a weird concept to me. My coworker loves NA beer. I don't think any of that shit is good enough to just...enjoy the taste

My brother quit drinking cause his liver is bad so I've been keeping Odouls and Athletic beers around the house. They aren't bad and I enjoy em on weekdays sometimes to satisfy the craving when Im trying to not drink much during the week. I used to be very against them but Im coming around.

I get THAT, like being an alcoholic so its almost like a placebo but I know people that just don't want to drink but will enjoy a nice refreshing Heineken for the hell of it. I won't even drink Heineken with alcohol in it

For people who work on-site, is it just here, or is T-Th just fucking insane now? Trains packed, highways got traffic bumper to bumper, people packing into elevators like fucking sardines.
I work as part of a team that supports meetings and events in a corporate building(audio/visual). The team that used to coordinate all the different vendor teams fired all their best people and now it's super disorganized. Probably the most disorganized building I've ever worked in, although it's also one of the biggest I've worked at as well.
The team I am a part of used to be 8-strong before COVID. Nowadays, every single meeting has audio/visual components(Zoom). We are down to 4 guys and they never back-filled those positions after everyone came back to the office.
I wanna either look for something else or learn to code and become a yuppie. But the rate is good and I wanna buy some lift springs for my truck lol

My commute is always an hour at least M-F from Boulder to Denver. I just start work earlier so it is sometimes 55 minutes instead of 75. Mondays in the morning are noticeably quieter, but Fridays are always pretty fucking annoying on the way home even at like 3:45.

From my place to the office I spend the most time, i'm looking at a 45 minute to an hour commute. The one day where I do two accounts is like 60 minutes one way and 90 to the other with a lot of back roads. At least now it looks like I'll have two wfh days or if I go in on Fridays it's like 30 minutes but I go to the gym early and get shit done

There IS a train that goes to Boulder but it goes nowhere near my job and they took away the bus that takes you from the rail stop to our side of town.

I have an 18 minute commute it's perfect, especially before 6am when not a soul is on the road and I can go 11 over the speed limit.
