I never knew until very recently that the vocalist for Nightfell is vocalist from Tragedy Really? Pretty sure that's the only reason anyone cares about Nightfell. |

Creeping Death - Wretched Illusions: very good
Sturgill Simpson - Sound & Fury: 🤯. This is so good.
Seed of Pain/Maniac Split: Maniac Side is much better
Blacks’ Myths - II: very cool post-Punk/jazz-y stuff
Nils Frahm - Encores 3: cool ambient music
Vivian Girls - Memory: finally a record that feels like a worthy follow up to their first record.
Above & Beyond - Flow State: excellent music for meditating, yoga, or other stuff. Includes a guided meditation in the middle.
Holy Fawn - Death Spells: This would be great if the singer didn’t sound like the most generic bland ass indie rock singer.
Regional Justice Center - Institution: band can do no wrong
Envision - In Desparation: I might like this more than the Magnitude album.
Lurk - Electro-Shock: kinda reminds me of Dead Kennedys. Weird that Pure Noise put this out
Constant Elevation single: members of GB and the Movielife. For fans of Civ, The Movielife, or Lifetime
(Sandy) Alex G - House of Sugar: this is pretty cool

Listened to that new Creeping Death twice. Kinda reminded me of the new Fuming Mouth record in the sense that it has some fun parts here and there, but nothing REALLY was jaw dropping.

I was kinda hoping they would continue down the path they set with Time 'n' Place, 'cause I thought that record and its Sweet Trip-esque blending of styles was pretty special. But I can't complain when it comes to more KKB really. |
