I know it's objectively not good, but I enjoy it because we have a team locally and they're good and have one of the best players in the league outside Messi. I have a hard time latching on to any teams from other leagues cause I've never been to Europe (probably too broke to ever go) and have hardly any ties besides knowing where I have distant relatives.

I know it's objectively not good, but I enjoy it because we have a team locally and they're good and have one of the best players in the league outside Messi. If you don't find Euro football compelling may I suggest you focus on the financial investigations that go nowhere, bizarre annual rule changes and unending bellyaching about how it's all gone wrong. |

I find it very compelling I just don't have any connection to any of the teams so when I watch its a casual uninvested watch as opposed to watching FC Cincinnati because its where I'm from but I understand its inferior version of the sport.

Having to justify or explain to strangers on the internet why you like a sports team is pretty much exclusive to this thread. Most people IRL are just excited to talk euro footie with a person.
Randomly pick a team and start watching it. Or don’t. Live your life.
I enjoy the constant madness around euro footie. It’s the closest thing I’ve found to the sickness of being a college football fan.

Direct me to a fun EPL club to follow. I don't wanna do either Manchester club, or Arsenal. Have a friend that's an Everton fan and that seems like a miserable exitence (most of my favorite sports teams already are don't need another), and an Aston Villa fan that seems okay. Used to think West Ham was cool because the hammers.

No my first game was the first season they became a USL team which was I think 2015. I didn't have much interest in soccer before that, and just kind of stumbled on to the game while out day drinking and tickets were like $5 at the time. I attended the Lamar Hunt Open Cup game against Chicago Fire in 2016 where we upset them in a shootout with a wild sold out crowd and I've been invested since. Did kind of enjoy the USL vibe more than the MLS vibe though. When I watched my first euro match on tv I was like wow this shit is way more face pace and better.
