Left my ex a voicemail last night after five months without speaking. I told her I hoped she was doing okay and it would be nice to be able to talk again sometime, since I don't entirely understand why we aren't talking in the first place, since I treated her really well and we didn't end on dreadful terms. I mentioned I was leaving the country next month and wouldn't be here for her birthday and mentioned that maybe we could get together before I leave. I reiterated that I hoped she was doing okay and it would be great to hear from her.
No call back, no text. So, that's pleasant.

Let some chick that I used to fuck with come by last night without telling me why at first. She gets there and starts telling me what a horrible person I am, that she has a boyfriend now and that they've been dating for a month and are moving in together, at that point I couldn't help it anymore and I'm laughing hysterically. Since April been seeing this girl long distance (5.5 hrs) that I met on OKC. She has a wealth of positives personality wise but I’ve just been riding it out, on the fence the whole time. We have fun and get along solid but if I’m entirely honest I haven’t experienced that spark. There’s some challenge missing and, as much as a I have no right to feel this way (pot calling the kettle...), there’s physical disinterest on my part. I’ve always been far more particular than I can afford. Combined with a loner spirit relationships are not a strong point.

Not sure the thing I got going is working out. I planned a couple days where I was totally free from work and taking care of my daughter to spend some time together, and it ended up just being sort of a bummer. She’s leaving for a long trip in about a week and a half, I might try to catch up with her when she gets back.
