Just got off the phone with the girl I’ve been talking to who it didn’t work out with. She was venting to me on the phone crying because apparently her best friends boyfriend put hands on her when she tried sticking up for her best friend.
I feel bad for her and it made me sad to hear her distraught on the phone.

my ex of that I was with for a few years and I split last May, and moved out of our place together a year ago today. Those last two months were hell. The breakup and the ending took a lot out of me. I’m far better off mentally now than I was back then but I’m just not able to get myself emotionally invested in a relationship and I’m not sure when I will be. Do the casual hookup stuff but afterwards I just find myself wanting to be alone. I was sorrrrrt of getting there with a girl I was seeing but she moved out to California and we made the right call to stop things before they got too serious.

Been single for a year and a half, after being in two relationships within a year. First girl fucked me up in many ways We broke up, and I rebounded with another girl. Everything was great I thought. Then found out she was sleeping with my friend. Which she confirmed at first, then later denied it as "just cuddling", as did he.
