I give up on dating apps. It's frying everyone's brain into thinking they're hot shit who are owed the world and it's genuinely sociopathic.
The last straw was this dude in the middle of the night like twelve hours before the date texts 'just to disclose' that he has a partner who he lives with, but that she is no longer interested in sex and that he 'completely understands if I'm not cool with that'. This shit is just beneath me. Gonna go back to just showing up to bars with my fruity little non-alcoholic drinks and trying to fix alcoholics

I’ve always wanted to have a harem of sorts. I get along well with women and it would be cool to have a diverse gaggle of women lounging around my home like cats and we could all listen to Mitski together and talk about how important Ice Spice is for weird hot representation.

I'm 26 and only realizing now how vastly superior it is. I was always put off by creeps or countless stories from my friends getting roofied/having near misses and didn't realize that's while that's still something to always look out for it's much less of a problem if you just go to the right bars. LA especially has a pretty lame bar culture; you really have to dig through piles of steaming shit to find ones that are fun to be in and don't suck. |

Not keeping up with all my goals (really slackin on reading), but I am making progress on my “play in at least three bands in 2024” plan and “fill patio with shit tons of plants” is progressing adequately.

Don't get involved with a woman with kids unless you want to have the kids be in your life too.
