The Dolphins have also been a non-threat for basically my entire life. The Bills ascending from being a peer in the shadow of the Patriots dynasty to an annual contender makes me bitter.

The social media shit and shit posted here doesn’t really bother me in the immediate aftermath of a heartbreaking loss, usually pizzapower or someone will get me going on a random month like June or some shit. As a Jets fan this is all I have. It's obviously never personal. I hate the Dolphins just as much but I don't think we have any fans in here so all my rage is directed towards the Bills. Just know it comes from a place of envy. When you boil it all down, fanbases like ours are really just the same pathetic tortured gumps deluding themselves into thinking one day they’ll win the big one even though there’s a lifetime of evidence that overwhelmingly proves it’s never gonna happen.

I'm immune to rage. I grew up in Rochester, and heard "squish the fish" my entire childhood. I moved to Rhode Island in 2001, just in time for the beginning of the Pats dynasty. My team's ceiling for my entire life has been getting knocked out in the divisional round, but more often than not we're competing to not be last in the AFC east. Reasonablepizza might have been able to watch Mark Sanchez take their team to the AFCCG a couple of times, but their general demeanor lets us all know that being a Jets fan is still 100x more miserable than being a Dolphins fan.

Ryan Fitzpatrick in 2015 is far and away the best season a Jets QB has had in my lifetime and they didn't even make the playoffs, so yeah, it's been pretty bleak.
Trevor Lawrence not being a generational talent does take a lot of the sting away from the last few years, though. At the time that felt like a missed opportunity that would set them back a decade +. Now it's just whatever.

Jagz hired Falcons DC for the same role. I'm cool with it. Gonna shift DB play a bit and could be a boon for the DL.
Antonio Pierce a go. Callahan looks like he's landing the Titans gig. Slowik to the Falcons (JackNicholsonPsychoticNodding.gif)? Coaching cycle is heating up.

He's been the best OL coach in the league for better part of a decade. Pierce was almost a no brainer considering the Raiders should've just kept their last interim hc when Brassica got them to the playoff.

I saw a stat earlier that the Dolphins gave up the most points by any AFC team to make the playoffs despite playing 8 games against bottom 10 offenses.

Coaching was a huge issue but there's something about those teams. Can take em out of San Diego but just like the Padres they manage to do the same shit every year.
They wasted Herbert's rookie deal and loaded up on huge contracts. Those wiggle out the next few seasons so they should have a nice opportunity to rebuild.

They can open up like $40 million alone by offloading Mike Williams and Bosa and kicking Keenan's hit down the road with an extension. Even more if you can trade Derwin "unnecessary roughness" James. Mack also had a crazy season because of one game so is also on the block. It's not all that dire in the money department if you cut the fat.

None of those guys ever stay healthy for a full season so they'd be wise to get rid of em all besides Mack. James and Bosa have been huge underachievers post contract.

Yeah, that's why I said they can wiggle and have a shot at a good rebuild.
