I wen't to the AEW show tonight and god damn definitely one of the best shows I have ever been to. Hearing that MJF promo was unreal. As much as I look fondly on the CM Punk 2011 pipebomb, I feel MJF's promo exceeded it tremendously and it isn't getting the appreciation it deserves.

I liked the MJF promo but it was a lil kayfabe killy for me. Like talking about money makes sense, but talking about stars and how he doesn't drop people on their heads is not so much for me. Cutting to black and not having commentary acknowledge it is a real nice touch though.
That suplex throw onto the steps by Mox looked fuckin vicious and I loved it. Stoked to see Miro back too, love that intense thick lunatic.
Tanahashi a good choice cos no one's champ is gonna lose but Tana is a big name, over as fuck, can get a great match with anyone and can lose without any damage to him. I reckon AEWs equivalent is Danielson so I really really hope it's him vs Okada.

I've thought since this was announced that if Mox and Dragon weren't in singles that next best option would be BCC vs Suzuki-gun (Dragon, Mox, Yuta vs Suzuki, ZSJ, Archer). |

Why was MJF perfectly fine 3 days after getting squashed by Wardlow? No neckbrace, no selling, no nothing.
Feel like that absolutely kills Wardlow's heat. Wrestling JD Drake as your first move off that match doesn't help. We've already seen him squash dudes for 2 years, it's time to do something with him.

MJF got his heat back after getting decimated which is usually what happens when a guy that's presented like he is loses the way he lost. It doesn't. He's stacking up strong wins on TV, not a bad thing no matter how you slice it. That's true but the majority of that was on Dark which you and most others don't watch. They are but Forbidden Door is in three and a half weeks and he may not be on the card. They're milking this, as they do. |

Wardlow needs to beat named talent in the same type of feud that he just had with MJF. He has to be the next guy and if he doesn't beat Punk he needs to beat the guy that does. Straight to the top. If not why did he go over Max? You actually got someone over. Do the necessary, Tony.
You have no idea how disappointed I was when I saw Mark Sterling come out. What is he going to do, bring in a bunch of guys to challenge Wardlow? They just did the trials bullshit, please just let him ride the rocket.

In story, Wardlow was contracted by MJF and was never an AEW employee until Sunday night. It makes total sense for him to be on the main shows now and destroy lower to mid card guys that have been on the main shows periodically to consistently, not just no name jobbers on Dark. Sterling coming out tells me we're gonna see Wardlow powerbomb the shit out of Tony Nese soon and I'm def not gonna complain about seeing that. This isn't the E. If they end up fumbling Wardlow, I'll happily eat crow over it. Just don't think it's gonna happen.

Toni and Hayter looked awesome (in every way) for real though even JR had to say how much better their strikes look than everyone else. Hayter especially looks like she's killing fools with her offense (but I don't think anyone's getting hurt). Show rocked. Also, Miyu Yamashita is gonna be on Dark or Dark Elevation next week!
