So me my girl our two cats and dog were watching AEW and we all fell asleep (well me and her fell asleep not sure about the pets). I woke back up during the main event and the first thing I saw was Eddie Kingston swinging a barbed wire chair as hard as he could on Jericho and the first thing that popped in my mind was: damn does he Eddie know how old Chris is why he gotta do my man like that? That was great. Then I remembered Eddie Kingston basically started his career by doing deathmatches for CZW and taking ungodly levels of punishment from Zandig so I was like "Yea Eddie you got this piece of cake" and then that happened and it made me sad then I wen't back to sleep. This concludes story time with the Jazzman.

Sick group. What are some of your guys favorite triads in wrestling history? Iβd have to go with these two

Loved Eddie grabbing the barbed wire mic and hitting Jericho with it right off the bat then talking shit. First half of the match wasn't too bad but everything after the final commercial break was overbooked trash. I get not wanting Jericho to win clean (Eddie has those bragging rights for now) but that was a total shitshow.
Watched this to cleanse the palate after-

Speaking of all time great ROH feuds, I legitimately thought one of those dudes was going to die. When Jimmy almost died in Detroit then they followed it up with that hard-rocking avalanche power bomb into the crowd on Long Island. Kind of a bold statement but in the annals of North American pro wrestling, especially in a post PWG / AEW world, ROH from like 2004-2010 is criminally underrated

Definitely is for me.

I get you meant in the context of the other indies but yeah people still talk about feuds and matches from that era very highly. In my experience at least.

My favorite faction from ROH was the Rottweilers with Homicide, Low-ki and Julius Smokes. Julius Smokes cut the funniest promos ever. I'll never forget the night they murdered Jay Lethal in Manhattan with a combination double stomp cop killer, best time to be an indy fan hands down.

I totally missed that they did the Tommy Dreamer/Raven for Eddie/Jericho, right down to Claudio stealing the win like Funk did. Nice.
And dude, thanks so much for posting that Jimmy/BJ Barbed Wire match. That entire feud which also included Jimmy vs. Cabana, was ridiculously hot and good. Jimmy was tiny, looked like shit physically, tore his knees up so had no athleticism, but made everyone care about his feuds with his promos and having the right matches for the feud.

Cartoonish gangsta Low Ki was amazing too somehow. I feel like Low Ki freaked out somehow and ruined that run by cutting it short but yeah, it was awesome.

I think ROH lost some of its luster once Gabe started doing the stable wars trying to emulate Dragon Gate. Once Cornette took over it was all downhill.

I might've talked about it on here before but the whole Jimmy loves Lacey story, encompassing Whitmer, Cabana, Albright, Daizee Haze and probs others, was one of the coolest stories I've seen in wrestling. Twists and turns and some ridiculously brutal matches, loved the whole thing a lot. Jimmy making those music videos was absolute genius.

And Lacey scorning Jimmy which would subsequently lead to Age of the Fall. Iβd love to go back and watch ROH from its inception to 2009.

Yeah even the vignettes after Jimmy beat BJ and he finally got his dates with Lacey, then he realises it didn't make him happy and ends with him cutting that promo with Jays blood dripping all over him. Same segment also has Necro with his fist wrapped in barbed wire saying "I told you if you let me outta my cage I'm gonna pile the bodies to the sky" which was so fuckin cool.
Old ROH from like 05 to 07 is full of incredible matches and stories, it's so good going back and rewatching it all. Also Danielsons title reign, really gotta rewatch that match with KENTA

I love a good trios match, but for the love of god, please no trios titles. I can't stand them.
Darby is a perfect crash test dummy, that match made Brody King look like a monster. Darby's dives are great. On the topic of good dives, I think Tony Deppen has a good dive.
