Imagine if a single US woman wrestler was this smooth just one of those age old things about the culture here vs there. its still a sport there. its still treated as a real contest. i know its hella cheesy and marky to bring it up but it shows. look our female indie/professional crop and theirs lmao just simply a different level of talent. |

Also I really think Billie Starkz has a ton of potential, she just needs that kind of mentoring. Her match with Maki Itoh was very good, definitely Makis best in NA. Imo. |

little details like that are why i still follow stardom. joolz won me over gradually. and i will also say SLK is on a serious upward trajectory too. liking her more now that she’s in oedo.
could also see rina in oedo or ddm. don’t care. that’s a good spot for her. doubt it happens, but let her and suzu ghoul it up in stardom.

I’ve stopped watching icw mostly bc I gave up on iwtv. The app sucks on firetv but I’m not fucking changing formats. Fucking fat nerds won’t update the apps zuck my dick.
Also icw crowds are tiny it’s a turn off

I totally get it. I wish they drew more. To me it's part of the charm. for deathmatch no promotion can touch icw right now. Danny is a great booker and a brilliant wrestling mind, he's just good with match ups and story telling. IMO anyways. I'd like to see them use ropes and the chains be like a main event or something...

I’m a deathmatch mark forever but I’ve been kinda not feeling it lately. I don’t like 90% of the talent and it’s gone back to feeling low rent. It’s also just a problem with indy workers being lame as fuck and “getting over” being huge dipshit marks and not actually making money and thinking they are something. If they all killed themselves, don’t you think we’d be Better off?

There used to be a Joshi All Japan music video I used to watch on YouTube all the time just to see the amazing women of AJPW. The song in the music video was The Offspring - Million Miles Away, is there a chance in this small world that someone still has a link to it somewhere? I used to love watching that vid like 3 times a week it just gets me going man!

US deathmatch scene is pretty great but I've had moments where I've just felt really out of the loop because of how... small the dm scene is and how everybody just keeps trucking along with the small amount of hardcore fans following it. I do think, though, that US deathmatch is the best it's ever been right now.
The best stuff this year, to me, has been.. the rise of Cole Radrick, the rise of Hoodfoot, JWM heeling it up as a member of the GCW roster lol, that Rina/Charli match from Detroit.. Hoodfoot/Sadika from last weekend.. Ciclope and Miedo coming back. In some cases, like Cole Radrick and Hoodfoot, guys are using deathmatches to put themselves on like how guys used to do back in the day which is fuckin sick. idk, there's a lot of good stuff out there.

Guys like Akira, Drew Parker, Cole Radrick, Hoodfoot and Shane Mercer are all getting put on really quickly. It's a new class of hybrid deathmatch wrestlers. Hoodfoot is basically trying to be as big as Nick Gage and Matt Tremont in the shortest time possible. Personally I think he's gonna move too fast and fuck his body up in a way he can't come back from, but that's just me |

Hoodfoot just the ICWNHB tournament. Dude is a beast. Demento is such a great booker. Were you there? I was, my first in person death match. They did 2 shows, one afternoon/one evening, I wen't to the evening. The ring, and the guys, were all already a bloody mess the second I got in there. There weren't any ring ropes, just a chain link cage. Because of this, there were no hi spots or "shoot the guy into the ropes" situations. Is this customary in Death Matches? The crowd was small, but passionate. At the end, Hoodfoot sliced his arm mad deep, it looked like you could see muscle. I would go check it out again. |

but seriously, idk its just different. i get not liking the vibe the pacing is way different and admittedly i'm not super versed in it but i take it with a grain of salt to what i usually enjoy and can pretty much enjoy what i'm seeing for what it is. plus saying lucha is awful is crazy because some of the best pwg matches of the last ten plus years involved lucha guys and totally changed the landscape of the newer generation getting jobs and getting paid so yeah lucha rules

That tournament is for their pit fighter thing, it's basically how they do their no ring stuff. Came out of covid era, they have done them in different settings. ICWs normal shows they use chains instead of ropes. JWM shoving the gusset plate in the wound if hoodfoot was so nasty. I love it. I love UV/DM wrestling so much. Akira mangled. |

I read that Kevin Nash got stabbed by accident with a dull knife that was supposed to be gimmicked but wasn't during the filming of Punisher and no sold it. It's the take that they used in the movie.
