Here’s a question, what’s the best US tag match of all time? Not multi-man, straight tag. Here’s some I was thinking of, am I missing any?

Steamboat/Youngblood vs Slaughter/Kernoodle(The Final Conflict)
Midnights vs Stagger Lee/Bill Watts
Rock n rolls vs Russians from 85
Buddy Rose/Doug Somers vs Midnight Rockers August 86
Rick n rolls vs Midnights Wrestlewar 90
Rhodes/Steamboat vs The Enforcers (Clash 17)

My vote is for rnr vs Midnights from Wrestlewar. My favorite tag match of all time, a great last hurrah for the best tag feud of all time, great example of classic southern tag structure with great work from Cornette on the outside, toms of cool offense from the Midnights, classic selling by Morton, it has everything.

I want to hear about some other stuff, I know I’m missing stuff.

I saw the 6/18 Royal Albert Hall match with Trent Seven & Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne beating Adam Cole & Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly match and had it at ****½. It’s funny because from a pacing and fan reaction standpoint, it’s nothing like anyone ever does on the main roster and really in NXT the only guys who work that type of style are when the Bate and Dunne come in. It was very much a style you see a lot of in PWG (it’s not PWG style because PWG’s strength is each show has multiple styles, but this was the kind of a match you’d pretty much only see in PWG when it comes to a somewhat significant U.S. company). It was that pacing, maybe slightly less when it comes to unique moves that a top end PWG match would have but the same type of speed, hard-hitting, crisp technique and the super hot crowd reactions. The one unique spot was Bate doing an airplane spin and giant swing in the same move, which also got the biggest reaction. Shawn Michaels then came out and said in his entire life he’s never been afraid to follow anyone or anything, but after watching that match he was scared to follow.

This 6 man and the NXT one that was on last night (w/ Ricochet instead of Pete Dunne) are both really good

I wouldn’t necessarily call it the best match but it’s super underrated given how hot the crowd was for it

All the Fantastics Midnights matches are up there, maybe with the exception of the GAB one. The clash one and the 3/26/88 ones are probably the best.
