No, you see, Dallas is a city. Texas is a state. and they get zero state money? Cities generate the majority of the revenue for states across several metrics. And, beyond that, local roads are typically not within the state DOT’s jurisdiction. They are in the city’s jurisdiction. |

And what you need to come to terms with is the fact that this same problem replicates across cities all over the country, regardless of city or state tax structure. Liberals really desperately need to believe that the implementation of a new tax will result in a proportional increase in tax revenue, but this doesn’t actually happen. |

The NH/MA border is a perfect case study for a fun look into property, sales and income tax laws and then also toll roads.
MA didn't even allow tattoos let alone booze on Sunday until 2000. The entire NH border is essentially Florida strip malls for this reason. Yet enough
Proprietarians moved up there to pay insane property taxes, commute to MA to make a living just to pay that higher income tax and hit the border tolls.
These are the economic libertarian geniuses that have been trying to take over NH for 40 years.
