tbh eliminating near-universal free parking is a prerequisite for most left wing municipal policy goals but since most supposed leftwingers will screech about how this is “neoliberalism”, it still applies Free parking is dumb if you’re the type of person who considers policy, regardless of political preferences. It’s great if you’re a “just give me everything I want, and there had better not be any downsides, trade offs, or unintended consequences” type. |

I don’t mind paying a parking meter, but most paid parking spots here are private companies that purchase a lot and then charge people $40 to park there for a few hours. That shit sucks!

lmao people keep asking me about the venezuelan street gangs in Aurora CO that definitely totally exist and took over that apartment complex. Can't believe how much attention this story's gotten. My mom just came and visited and was shook about it before coming.
The idea that that part of Aurora didn't have that kinda shit and way worse happening already is insane. I used to live about a mile from those complexes--I rode my bike very fast past them.
