My aunt married some Kentucky dumbass and moved to Kentucky to be with him. A few years ago he was visiting and got super drunk on not that much whisky, came into the TV room where we were watching basketball, and was like THESE PLAYERS LOOK LIKE MONKEYS. I'm sure it's been pointed out by people who'd do it much better than I ever could, but the ultimate irony is how many of these Trump people were born to parents who served in WWII and who implicitly understood that our country is stronger as part of a union that provides mutual defense with other countries.
This idea that it's somehow MORE American to pull out of countries and allow them to fend for themselves is an actual contradiction of the values that lots of these boomers grew up with driven into their psyche by domineering fathers who looked like Michael Douglas in Falling Down.

Quentin Fulks is the principal deputy campaign manager of the Kamala Harris 2024 presidential campaign and is reported to be leading the campaign's advertising program. He is a nationally recognized campaign manager and political strategist, advising some of the largest, most expensive and consequential campaigns in American politics.
Fulks served as campaign manager for the 2022 re-election campaign for Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock in his home state of Georgia. In this role, Fulks managed a nearly $200 million budget and more than 1,000 campaign staff to lead the statewide contest to victory: re-electing a Democratic United States senator in the state for the first time in more than three decades. Prior to leading Warnock’s campaign, Fulks served as deputy campaign manager for JB Pritzker’s successful 2018 gubernatorial bid, playing an instrumental role in flipping Illinois from red to blue.
After Pritzker’s victory, Fulks served as his senior political advisor. While in this post Fulks founded and led Think Big Illinois, a 501c(4) dedicated to passing progressive policies to invest in and support working families. In 2020, Fulks managed “Vote Yes for Fairness,” a ballot initiative committee that sought to pass a graduated income tax in Illinois.
Prior to these leadership posts, Fulks graduated from American University with a Master of Public Policy and Political Science and from Georgia Southwestern State University with a bachelor’s in political science and sociology. He has served in positions at several national political organizations including Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), EMILY‘s List and Priorities USA, the leading Democratic Super PAC during the 2016 presidential election.
