gang I need recommendations on introductory-level books on history and politics trying to broaden my horizons and shit These are some books that really made an impact on me. The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein A People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn Manufacturing Consent by Noam Chomsky Bullshit Jobs by David Graeber Are Prisons Obsolete? by Angela Davis The Conquest of Bread by Peter Kropotkin The Coming Insurrection by The Invisible Committee perfect list. can't recommend People's History enough. the thing is a fucking doorstop but it is a very engaging read and the pages fly by.

Here's a few others not yet mentioned that I enjoyed:
The End of the Myth by Greg Grandin Humane by Samuel Moyne The Jakarta Method (personal favorite) How to Hide an Empire
I had to slow down with political nf. I read this shit like smut and my brain is cooked as a result and I have to trick myself out of believing nothing matters daily.
