I wen't down a rabbit hole of Senate Intelligence Committee testimonies and I have no idea what to believe anymore.

Putin and Trump both brought Browder up at the summit and issa massive mindfuck. I wen't and watched his testimony...


Bill Browder was a "small time" investment chud who reaped massive amounts of money from post-communist Russia. Spent tons in legal fees to get Russian backed documentaries cancelled about him around the world.

But... He was pivotal in the Magnitsky Act and sanctioning Russian oligarchs. His lawyer Magnitsky was arrested tortured and killed... His testimony is essentially you don't do business in Russia without putting your life on the line and they will do anything to hurt you... He might be a total scumbag turned whistle blower or just be trying to protect himself. Leaning towards the former though.

Then he comes out and says Russia was using Fusion GPS to lobby against Magnitsky under the guise of adoption policy. He openly says Rohrabacher was routinely cultivated. He said FARA laws are completely missing massive amounts of corruption as more and more foreign countries buy US companies and essentially lobby as unregistered agents because they have non disclosure laws.

He says Fusion GPS was working with Russian operatives before The Washington Times, GOP Candidates and the Clinton campaign followed up with the Steele dossier... That they're just a pay to play firm and don't give a shit either way who they bury.

Listening to both Democrats and Republicans on the Senate Intelligence Committee during that hearing was fuckin' incredible. They had no idea about anything.

I know politics is broken but after that... I have absolutely zero faith in anything in this country. A few GOP members were seriously concerned and asked good questions but there were only like 6 people at his hearing...

democrats on the SIC have been kept in the dark for the better part of two decades due to being out of leadership and the republicans are intentionally muddying the waters by attacking the character and motivations of otherwise accurate and meaningful sources. nat sec and intel should never have been politicized in the first place, but here we are. we have no real counterintelligence apparatus or at least one that is mission ready, let alone a plan to combat the current threat posed by Russia, or at the very least an acknowledgment that Russia poses a threat. we're at least three years in to this new cold war and we are standing around with our dicks flapping in the breeze.

It was Grassley who chaired the Browder hearing and was in complete agreement with IC findings and in coalition with Democrats on that.

The Senate appears to be a little more reasonable but the Tea Party/Freedom Caucus wave of the House are bat shit true believers and will back Trump forever.

What exactly makes Browder a scum bag?

IMO he’s done a lot of great work. His lawyer was murdered by the Russian government for exposing Kremlin money laundering and conspiring to steal hundreds of millions from Russian citizens.
