Identity Evropa marched through a park in Washington Heights (it's tha tip of Manhattan), borders tha Bronx. Happened on Tuesday, only heard about yesterday. They unfurled an anti immigration banner off a bridge for a photo op, and skedaddled. Bear in mind, as they walked through tha neighborhood to get to tha park they were non-descript and kept tha banner tightly furled until they got to tha mostly empty park (elderly, some families, picnicking) so they wouldn't be noticed. I've only seen one video of a passerby documenting it. Again, Tuesday in tha middle of tha afternoon. Not high volume. Crazy that this happened here and it pisses me off so much. This happened with the Identitäre Bewegung here outside of our department building. I work in the history department of a University here and on a Friday afternoon, during the semester break and on the same weekend of a big festival in Germany, around 11.30 we here someone speaking outside with a megaphone. We sit on about the 5th floor of a building, so we looked down and saw about 6-7 dudes in those white 'hazmat' suits and then they were setting up a 'blocked off area'. Then they started reading something and after about 1:00 or slighlty more they took off. Turns out they were trying to put up signs that claimed 'Warning, you are entering an ideologically contaminated area'. The signs fell over as they hurried away. There's a real embarrassing youtube video if anyone is interested. It was bazare and took a bit to understand what was going on, and there have been a number of counter actions since. |

Right-to-work was defeated in Missouri, so that’s some good news. First time right-to-work has been overturned by referendum, so hopefully it sets up other states to follow.
