Given that she got absolutely smoked your postmortem should be 2 things:
1. Appealing to "moderate republicans" by campaigning with the Cheney family was an utter failure (which anyone with a brain told you in advance).
2. Biden and his administration are DESPISED. Deeply hated. Maybe that sunk her from the word go. But she chose not to break with Biden on ANYTHING of merit. Not Palestine, not healthcare, not green energy, nothing.

There was that big poll last month about how the public sees the candidates. The percentage who thought she wasn’t progressive or left enough was laughingly small. That’s hard to accept on board, where posters are further to the left than most people. The prescription to run on more left things—or just things that can be characterized as leftwing—is almost certainly a losing one. We’re probably firmly in the “I’m gonna give you all of this…and with no tradeoffs!!!” era. That’s really hard to sell unless you’re Trump. With running on more leftwing issues, I think it’s just easier for voters to recognize that there are tradeoffs. I dunno, it’s not an enviable spot to be in. I don’t see how appealing to the heart with the plight of Palestinians works on the national level when appealing to heart on undocumented immigrants is a losing argument.
