He rules. I still think media studies are infinitely important to understand basics of HOW this functions with our direct interaction but it has to be tied with the parapolitical dimension for theories of purpose and the philosophical realm of what Saul wrote about in Voltaire's Bastards and Unconscious Civilization where it becomes unmanageable with rapid entropy. Or as David Byrne would say, same as it ever was.

Elise Stefanik getting the UN ambassador job bodes well for Gaza. This doesn't bode well for my Trump protest vote over Israel/Gaza.

Harm reduction isn't a calculation or persuasive motivating force for people anymore. It's about inflicting pain on enemies both perceived and/or real.
We've learned nothing and actually regressed so I expect nothing less than more blame.

This was a great episode and on the whole I've been enjoying Joshua's pod. I was never big into the whole chapo/trueanon sphere but I really liked a lot of the episodes as a peek into that weird world of hyper niche online politic cosplay.

I wish the worst for Stephen Miller Never forget... Buried within a 3,000-word New York Times profile of Stephen Miller, the frequently divisive adviser to President Donald Trump, was a brief anecdote about Miller’s equally brief running career. Back in 2003, after competing in a tennis match at a rival high school, the 16-year-old Santa Monica High student wandered over to the track and, according to writer Matt Flegenheimer, “jumped, uninvited, into the final stretch of a girls’ track meet, apparently intent on proving his athletic supremacy over the opposite sex.”

I mean you have to be to have the sense of grandeur or ego to think that YOU need to be the one to make decisions on behalf of everyone else, and actually commit to the lifestyle that goes along with that. Miller is definitely in an elite tier of ghouls though.

I've looked in his eyes. Theyre soulless. I caused a scene in midtown Manhattan 3 days after Charlottesville and followed him for blocks, screaming at him.

If Trump is nominating all of these congressional Republicans for cabinet positions does that mean they'll have to vacate their position in Congress?

It's crazy that you guys are in here being smug about Gaza when you told me I was hard-rocking for saying it was a lot of peoples' number 1 issue. Blaming voters instead of the Democrats who screwed the pooch on this election is some serious cope. This thread sucks lol

There is nobody to blame except the Democrats. Biden being senile was such a joke for so long that nobody took it seriously until the debate in June. It was either planned all along or decided "Worst case scenario, we'll just run Kamala" and it proved to be a horrible strategy.
In hindsight what fucked everything up was how sharp Biden looked at the state of the union.

I think the Democrats essentially losing an entire generation of young men, both college educated and otherwise, to right wing grifters online deserves a big chunk of the blame, and smug ass purity test leftists are to blame for that, if I could keep it a buck. Gaza was not even in the top ten of reasons democrats lost the election. I think it was a long shot for any incumbent to win in an environment dominated by the narrative that the economy was bad and prices are high. By and large, people do not vote ideologically. Trump won the "economy" argument a year ago. He didn't have to do much else. The fact that it was even close is actually a testament to the strength of Kamala's campaign.

because whataboutism is pointless no matter what direction it’s coming from? Well, I wouldn't call it whataboutism because it's going to be the reality now. It's funny how everyone asked this question directly responds the same way. It can't just be given a simple answer because it makes the whole reality created to justify protest voting fall apart.
