Considering he was always going to get confirmed, does this hurt the "blue wave" or energize it further?

Dude has been getting profiled a lot recently and it's a joke some left publications and liberals trash him... Hard enough to fight of right wing jerk offs as it is. His platform is fine and I'd love to see him fighting in Congress....

This is over. They have the votes. What a fucking horrible society. I literally want to die. Goodbye women's rights. Goodbye labor rights. Few things are so inspiring as watching a group of people open the bank vault, light the place on fire and then peace out back to their private lives without consequence or consideration for their actions.

There's no honest reply I can make to this that wouldn't have the FBI pay me a visit. We're staring down the barrel of a gun.

Really appreciate this epic overview of American legal history from someone with no legal background.

Reading off some fucking Judicial Watch prepared statement. Everyone should have seen this (https://video.wgbh.org/video/dark-money-duhigg/) because it warned that the courts were the last target for these fucks.
And never forget about all the nominations Obama lost from these mutants. In our history, individual nominees were blocked 68 times PRIOR to Obama. 79 were blocked during Obama’s term which is why Reid wen't to the nuclear option. They don't fucking care.

This was in the NYT earlier. Country's working great.
"Donald Trump won just under 46 percent of the popular vote and 2.8 million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton. And Mr. Gorsuch was confirmed by a vote of 54-45. According to Kevin McMahon of Trinity College, who wrote all this up this year in his paper “Will the Supreme Court Still ‘Seldom Stray Very Far’?: Regime Politics in a Polarized America,” the 54 senators who voted to elevate Mr. Gorsuch had received around 54 million votes, and the 45 senators who opposed him got more than 73 million. That’s 58 percent to 42 percent.
And if the Senate confirms Brett Kavanaugh soon, the vote is likely to fall along similar lines, meaning that we will soon have two Supreme Court justices who deserve to be called “minority-majority”: justices who are part of a five-vote majority on the bench but who were nominated and confirmed, respectively, by a president and a Senate who represent the will of a minority of the American people."

I can't believe we're still having this talk of civility and "both sides" causing division. Go up and down the list of issues defended by the minority running this country and they're mostly, if not all, debunked and unfounded hunches... I won't even get into all the cultural issues but what the hell.

This is a tremendous case for abolishing the Senate because it's totally undemocratic garbage and always has been.

If a woman ran up and punched Susan Collins this weekend I'm sure she could win any blue seat in the house next month.

I can't stop thinking about this scene from Roger & Me and how it was a warning. So much of this country looks like this now. The scariest part is all the bread and circuses as their communities were falling apart around them.
It is so depressingly infuriating.

They don't even have to give out the bread anymore, the circuses are enough.

I won't even get into all the cultural issues but what the hell. Anybody having a conversation about civility is a moron or an asshole. The right has moved the goal posts so far off center, there is no middle ground. The elimination of common goals means a return to tribalism instead of a heterogeneous society. Compound that with the competition for resources and the active attempt to curtail the rights and access, this is no longer a polite interaction. Disingenuous and bad faith appeals should not be engaged. Fridays are for baseball, gambling and making fun cleveland's dumbass racist logo. Why are these asshole fucking up my life and my mental health?
