I think people severely underestimate how bad a lot of our long term problems are and coupled with the fact it's easier to break down institutions than to build them doesn't bode well for any pleasant future for the U.S. or the world.
It is pretty hard to comprehend how bad something like income inequality really is and how bad the slow march of climate change is really going to be. Honestly hard to think there's a light at the end of the tunnel other than an oncoming train.

So like, once this generation of old people dies, and we're the new old people, shit will be chill again, right I'm probably wrong but it helps me to sleep at night just thinking about 'now' as a demographic problem. We'll be an overwhelming mixed race society in what, 20 years? Yeah shit sucks now, but it's these people who are just putting their nails in the ground as they're being dragged out. I share the frustration, but I can't submit to the pessimism, whatever. |

I honest to god might have to stop reading the news. There is no doubt in my mind it's taking its toll on my health, mental and physical. I just get so intensely angry. And then I get super angry at my mom for voting for Trump and that is not healthy for me.

I've said it a bunch of times in the other thread but I live in a city where Democrats having been running unopposed for as long as anyone can remember and I'm amazed at the number kids I wen't to school with who are now proud Trump nut-huggers. I like to think it's a vocal minority but I honestly don't think that's the case.

Get to the part where he cited a FOX article saying Rosenstein is threatening to subpoena phone calls. Rosenstein visibly upset just flat out says you can't subpoena calls and audible laughter is heard at how stupid he is.
It'd be funny if it wasn't so seriously demented how these sycophants operate.
I'm fine with Congressional oversight but it's a complete joke to think that's what this is and not a full fledged attack on undermining anyone and everything opposed to Trump.
