Ya'll ready to wake up tomorrow to the promise of an even worse hellscape than the one in which we currently reside because Democrats didn't fix the entire country in two years with the slimmest possible majority which included a fossil fuel stooge fucking it up at every possible opportunity, and didn't lower the price of an inelastic good controlled by an evil international cabal of price-fixing literal princes who murder with impunity, despite accomplishing several of the priorities they were voted in on in some fashion? Love this country. Greatest place to live.

Friend of mine moved out of state for med school... her emphasis in medicine is women's health and is VERY vocal about women's reproductive rights. She's still a resident in AZ where there are straight up COVID/election deniers precariously close to positions of influence.
I asked her if she voted and she said no because it was "dumb." When I pushed back and asked why, she switched to, "I've been too busy with school." It takes maybe an hour lol.
I'm sure it's dramatic but I told her I've got a lot going on/can't text much for a while. There's just something really fucking gross about posting all over the internet about Roe v Wade, imploring people to do their part, talking about working to keep crazies from taking over, etc... but you personally can't be bothered to actually do the thing that might help that. Unreal.
