Anyone familiar with NV politics? What are the chances that Cortez Masto pulls through at this point? Is it possible for Clark County to put her over? Looking really likely that the senate sits at 50/50 again.

Desantis is a bummer. Dude wen't from beating a guy who could not stop abusing is campaign funds in 2018 by 30,000 votes to beating an old white guy by 1.5 mill. Miami and west palm are far gone. A Disney coup might be our only hope.

Florida is fucking lost at this point. the republicans have organically gerrymandered the entire state because the worst people from all over the rest of the country have moved there.

my initial personal predictions were
D's hold AZ, NV, NH, pick up PA
R's hold NC, OH, WI, pick up GA
given where the races are right now
- I think CCM squeaks by Laxalt in NV
- AZ tightens but Kelly beats Masters by 1.5 - 2 points
- GA goes to run-off, Republican turnout is poor, especially for a candidate like Walker, and Warnock wins in December
D's retain control of senate, 51-49
the race that really makes me sick is wisconsin. i wonder how different that race would be if the money that wen't to florida, a state i've been referring to as red for years, wen't to wisconsin instead.
regardless, democrats have outperformed by even resistance lib standards. one of the better takes i've seen is felix from chapo basically saying that the culture war stuff turns off normies regardless of ideology, which is a great point. i think of the most normal guy i know - my brother - and if i showed him the school board meeting videos where the parents are saying the teachers are teaching their kids how to get abortions or how to become transgender, he'd think they were (rightfully) sickos.

I'm not surprised that JD Vance won. Ever since I left Ohio like 23 years ago, it has never failed to find new ways to make me ashamed of where I'm from.
I'm also not surprised that, here in Maryland, Wes Moore absolutely trounced Dan Cox like 60/40.
