I think the smart play here is for Biden to resign over it and willingly face criminal charges over it. It gets you out of the “should Biden run again” question and it neutralizes any “double standards” cries from the Republicans or smooth brained “both sides” journalists with respect to the Trump documents.

With that said, "handfuls of documents found in other rooms of the White House and willingly turned over" is a bit different than "boxes of documents discovered in a room with no lock inside rich white trash Club Med and they're being weird about returning all of them."

I'm sure every administration has dysfunction. You can't have that many personalities, apinions and reactions and expect shit to go smoothly 24/7. I work in a program with a staff of under 10 employees, we can't even get them on the same page. Imagine an entire cabinet.
Other than the Afghanistan exit, Biden's gender fluid dude stealing luggage, the top secret files (documents were from his time as VP, so technically didn't occur during his term) and the fact that Kamala Harris is about as worthless as Mike Pence? I haven't heard THAT much about this White House being a shit show. I'm sure I'm having a brain fart and can't remember shit though.
Trump's White House had unprecedented levels of dysfunction: His COVID response killing literally thousands, January 6th, the Super Man t-shirt idea, the lawsuits and "Stop the Steal" ridiculousness... and then punctuated by relocating important documents from the heart of American democracy to fuckin' Epcot.
We'll probably never see another administration do this sort of damage but I'm not ruling it out. Like, I haven't even gotten into the fact that Trump radicalized the dumbest and oldest segments of our population while giving authority to QAnon loons. These two things will probably do more damage than anything else.
