Foose is probably more informed than I but I think it's hyped up by American/UK press. Never say never but no one is gonna for a coalition with them and they aren't winning a majority.

I haven’t been paying much attention to the situation in Germany, but my sister and some family live over there and it seems like there is a lot of anti-immigrant sentiments in German society, especially directed towards Muslim immigrants, even though the main driving force behind increased immigration numbers in Ukrainian refugees.
Idk but I’ve seen approval rates as high as 25% for a party whose policy includes mass immigration of any person not deemed German enough and that shit is raising some red flags. I know that ultra-right wing groups are small, but they’re also the most motivated and have easy access to weapons. Shit seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

Speaking strictly anecdotally, from an AFD stronghold, they don't like Ukrainians any less than Muslim refugees. The problem is more or less a two parter 1) AFD does best in the former DDR which does not see the economic gains/industry it was promised after reunification. 2) Immigrants (myself included, albeit not my children) take the low wage jobs no native wants and do not properly acclimate i.e learn German in 6 months, eat liverwurst, whatever judgemental shit Germans come up with. Everyone I deal with on a daily basis is very friendly despite knowing I'm an American dipshit, so again, I think it's over hyped American media. Germany/Germans look at the US as a North Star so y'all will have gone full hard-rocker before AFD takes over. Also it's possible they get their federal funding pulled soon which will be a nail in their coffin.
Again though... I'm an idiot so these are just my observations.

Missouri has two distinct styles of barbecue and consistently produces some of the best punk bands AND, until recently, they had the best small airport in the country.

Safe to assume lots hate on red states for how they tend to vote, their tendency to be bottom barrel in education, their archaic stances on social issues/race, science...
I mean, compare the least educated states with COVID deaths by state. Between COVID and abortion, a lot of these states were/are actively killing people by way of their smooth brain culture war bullshit.

States are purple, by and large.
Indianapolis, IN is building way more dense housing than and investing in public transit far more substantially than, well, most of the cities in any blue state. It’s certainly a far more equitable place than Huntingon Beach, Irvine, etc. in California or Boston.
