The fact that you think college is for elites when I took the bus two hours each way to go to community college for free because I was low-income (took me much longer than two years to finish that two-year degree because I'm hard-rocking) tells me everything I need to know about you. Like a quarter of my classmates actually lived in their car and relied on a free food program for breakfast before class.
You think being a misanthrope is a virtue that has to be earned and that the those who aren't in the "real world" could never handle what it's like to not have any hope left. In reality it's because you're a coward and you're more scared of being disappointed than anyone else. You probably could take any community college classes for free right now with the govt fully covering it if you really are as poor as you say you are but you probably never will. You will never engage with the world in any way that could risk you feeling disappointed, and anyone who can will continue to be responsible for any of the good things that are left in this world that you will then take for granted.
