Has there been a culture shift to where the "shy Trump voter" is no longer shy, meaning the polls are just more accurate now? I've read this speculation on twitter, wondering if there is credence to it.

Maybe? Half the polls are trying to deal with that by weighting based on 2020 vote which is producing results that just look like 2020.

If I'm the trump campaign, I'd be more worried about the shy Kamala voter married to the trump voter with abortion being so high on the issues totem.

There's no such thing as a shy trump voter in 2024, which is what leads to the garbage in>garbage out polling models and what I guess we're calling the red mirage now. Trump doesn't have an identifiable ideology, which makes it harder to swallow voting for him if you don't identify with the person. That is and will continue to be the determining factor in engagement and turnout, a condition that will most likely encourage conservative abstinence. It's also likely to push fencewalkers quietly blue bc while the dems are absolutely worthless, they're not actively threatening and shitting on wide swaths of the citizenship. |

I will not be pleased if Trump is elected and his goons immediately undermine and eventually destroy the Local Infrastructure Hub, a free initiative that's helped around 1,600 small to mid-sized municipalities navigate the ins and outs of the grant application process, and turn their community's forgotten stories into grant-winning success. I would like to help design an equivalent program for Tribal and rural governments.

Kamala polling ahead by 12 points in Nebraska district 2 is a good sign. It’s a pretty good representation of purple/swing states.
