Got some shit because I was asked who I voted for. I tossed a vote for Kamala. I live in MA, whocare. Answered honestly with I think that a vote for baseline competency and making sure administrations are staffed by specialized experts who know what they're doing was a very easy choice. Instantly met with that embedded idea that anyone smarter than me with a public sector job = "egg head elitist deep state bureaucrat." Working in any kind of public sector or public sector adjacent job is a fucking major blackpill. The will of the voter bends towards abject stupidity. |

I used to think the Supreme Court had just two hacks, then the others were naturally biased or partisan-y cuz that’s how it goes. But probably not. They’re just principled conservatives unless it really counts. If they perceive the game is ever on the line, it’s about the immediate viability of today’s Republican Party.

Last several years really hammered home just how big a percentage of people straight up pretend to understand anything.
