If Trump and Project 2025 get their way, the whole conversation about displacement and gentrification is gonna be toast. Not that cities haven't been focused on fiscal self-reliance via reinvigorating their densest areas (pre-WWII neighborhoods and downtowns) already, but that if you take away discretionary grant funds then the wiggle room is just gone and municipal governments will really need to beef up the yield they get from areas that can generate the most taxable value per acre.
