Going to Beirut, Lebanon in late February. Who's got the details on food, drinks, things to do, things to avoid, whatever? We'll be spending around a week. this is my research which is not as extensive as I remembered Beirut 4-6 Days As this is a good base to explore the country, as you can visit all the sites below from Beirut. -Baalbek and the Bekaa Valley are 1-2 hours north of Beirut -Jeita Grotto - 20km north of Beirut -Byblos - 40km north of Beirut, on the way to Byblos is Jounieh, with a cable car to the statue of Harissa -Tripoli - second largest city - Old City, and Souqs - a day trip from Beirut Thanks for the tips. We're probably going to skip on Tripoli because of the instability of that region in favor of the Kadisha Valley/Ceders. The rest sounds good though.

What are some must checkout off the beaten path places (food, records etc.) I'd hit Cerebral, Black Project (only sours), and Ratio. Ratio is next to a bunch in the RiNo neighborhood, so you can hit more from there too.

With Greece, it's literally Islands >>>>>> Cities. Some cities like Delphi, Patras, etc, but those are generally small cities. Athens is a goddamn tourist trap and it's third world filthy, but there is some fun to be had usually later in the evening. I've visited Heraklion, Samos, Santorini, Mykonos, Patmos, and Hydra. I would highly suggest those specific islands for more historical stuff.

I would highly suggest those specific islands for more historical stuff. I've also been to Patmos a couple times, as well as Hydra and would recommend those islands as well, especially Patmos. Granted it was 10-15 years ago but I remember the food being real nice, people being friendly, and they had plenty of small creeks where you could spend a whole afternoon in the sun on your own. Patmos is also the place where John supposedly wrote the Book of Revelations, and you can visit the monastery he belonged to if that's your thing, it was pretty cool.

Any website recommendations to look up shows in Germany and surrounding areas? Which cities? I'm still working out my trip but I know for sure I'll be in Munich, Berlin, and Hamburg at the very least in Germany. And then my plan is to make my way to Oslo through Copenhagen - Malmo - Gothenburg
