I legitimately fail to comprehend the rejection of the only real rng and potentially negative outcome factor in what is basically a spreadsheet process. It's weird, trey. Because there is almost no predictability at the position. It's basically a wild card every week. Part of fantasy football is using variables to predict which players will do well over the course of a season and week to week. With kickers is a total crapshoot and pretty much no one actually takes it serious and just plops a random kicker into their lineup. They offer zero value to a fantasy football team. Think of it this way, would anyone ever trade for a kicker? No? Why not? Because issa worthless fucking position that's nearly impossible to predict in the short or long term. I don't like to think of fantasy football as a complete guessing game, of course there is variability, but I try to minimize that as much as possible through research, watching the games every week, etc. If I wanted to play a game of complete chance I could go play roulette, but that's not what I want out of fantasy football. I legitimately think kickers have a negative impact on the game of fantasy football. The variance is what makes it enjoyable across skill levels. Plus, at your level of engagement, most people are taking it seriously and streaming kickers the same way they do qbs because qb's are generally fungible from week to week. The fact they can offer tangible plus or minus means that they're value is actually completely nonzero, in a way that no other position provides. As to why no one trades for them, it's because of access to 32+ kickers in 10-14 team leagues in a singular role fails to create scarcity or need. You want to play a game or in a league where the smartest and best prepared win, I'd take up chess. A singular point of rng or effective variance shouldn't derail your ability or experience from something that's supposed to be about social interaction from multiple levels players.

Thereβs still plenty of variables to look at with kickers. Things like home favorites and bad red zone efficiency have correlation to kicker points. Look at last years highest scorer per game younghoo koo on a good offense in Atlanta that had no running game to punch in tds and no defense so was in shootouts all season. Next-Jason sanders Miami middle of the pack in scoring with not great qb or rb play. Third Buffalo- high scoring often favorite team. I would say I agree with you Heathenist on takes more then anyone else in this thread but Iβm out on kicking being a pick a random dude and cross your fingers position.

BOARD SUPER LEAGUE WILL NOT HAVE KICKERS Ahem. Board super league will have 2 kicker slots and -11 for all misses, except for 50+ yds. Those will be -15.

I made a private DFS contest if anyone is interested. $3 buy in, top 2 win, so really low stakes and a pretty good shot at winning your money back. Capped at 15 spots. If there is more interest I can change it in the future. www.draftkings.com/contest/draftteam/113775321

I legitimately think kickers have a negative impact on the game of fantasy football. It is absolutely not impossible to predict. You ideally take a kicker whose team can move the ball but stalls in the redzone. A kicker whose defense produces a lot of turnovers and thus gives them a lot of possessions. A kicker that is going to make the majority of their kicks in a dome or decent weather. A kicker whose coach is conservative and will opt for the FG on 4th-and-2 over the attempt to go for it. They absolutely produce more value and intrigue than tight ends who, unless you get one of the top 4-5, are completely fucking useless.

Urban Meyer is such an asshole that I actually have to wonder if Jamaal Williams is a better play than James Robinson. Fuck you, Urban, Carlos Hyde is cheeks.

I like that espn has trey and alex at 50/50 like a stat correction could swoop in to save either one of them at any moment

You should be. All I need is one little itty bitty stat correction giving 1 or 2 extra yards for like, basically any of my starters. I'm still convinced Kelce gained 8 yards on his last catch.

In a deep (14 team league) so waiver wire pickups are basically non existent. Need to be pretty focused and overbid. With that said, who do you guys think is the best bet to go after:
KJ Osborn Zach Pascal Tim Patrick
Iβve seen stuff online saying tim Patrick is the βsafeβ bet but kj Osborn seems like the most exciting option. Help me yaβll!
