me before today: "wow CMC injured, i'm finally gonna get my first win" today: dalvin cook - out josh jacobs - out aj brown - out early in the 1st quarter i fucking hate this season My first four picks in my league were CMC, Josh Jacobs, Gus Edwards, AJ Brown. 4.5 points total, all from CMC this week.
I might still win because Josh Allen scored 40 and the guy I'm playing laid an egg. Fantasy Football is chaos.

I feel like it's anticompetitive because he's the highest scorer in the league and doesn't need to make waiver claims, and has no intention of starting the player, only to deny others the ability to use the player. It's happened 6 times now. I think it's fucked.

It annoying, but unless the commissioner changes the rules to disincentivize it, then there isn't much you can do. Next year you should vote to change it so that there are open waivers when a player gets dropped after a certain day of the week, that way anyone can pick them up.

I would say doing it to grab like a Darryl williams or something throughout the week in case the starter goes down is smart and a wise move especially early in the season. Usually by the time Sunday hits, you’ll have a player out and can move them to your ir making from for you to add back a kicker.
Making moves just to tie players up and make them unavailable on Sunday is a bullshit move and the league should fix availabilities after cut. I’m not sure which it is but if it’s the latter then yeah fight back.

I would love to have someone doing this stupid shit in one of my leagues. Like, good luck having a winning team when all of your bench spots are taken up by DSTs. Plus I’d love to be able to get the scraps of their bench every time they decided to drop viable offensive options just to keep someone from streaming a dst haha. The exception might be if it was a losing team who were just tanking anyways, that would be fucking annoying and tanking should be highly discouraged some way or another. |
