oh yeah that's exactly why i prefer going to stuff like this. you can at least look and smell at what you're spending money on.

kinda interesting to think that the years leading up to legalization were probably "the best" times because of that. 

now when i end up having to go to a legal shop, it feels like i'm at the apple store.

Stopped at a couple rec dispensaries in the northwest and maybe it’s because I just shopped the sales but I didn’t really feel anything from the edibles. The flower was decent for what I paid.

Have they reduced potency for tourists over the years?

I feel like dosage for edibles is imprecise and all over the place these days. I've gotten fucked up on the dispensary gummies by eating pinches of the 5mg guys, but also felt nothing on 50mg chocolate bars and shit.

Ive always felt like there’s very little consistency when it comes to edible dosage. I just try to find the companies that get me fucked up with smaller dosages and stick with those.

Yeah rec edibles, at least here in MA, are so impotent it's criminal. IF you have a med card you can get the good ones though. I'm still making my own and getting really good at consistency. Enjoying some canna oil in my coffee as I type this.

I stick to flower. Edibles are too inconsistent for me.

are you guys buying legally produced edibles? idk how the different states regulate that stuff. it's 10mg max here so it don't even bother, but the canadian government is so hard-assed i believe that's what you're getting.

Due to some loophole in the cbd farm bill we actually get “hemp derived delta 9” edibles here that are potent and very unregulated. You can get them at any sketchy cbd store. I’ve also heard that a lot of these legal thc’s are actually Chinese opiates so idk.

I've poked in here on occasion but will probably start posting more often. I got into dense nuggs of fat buds SUPER late in life (mid-thirties) and have been considering growing for personal use, or possibly branching out to something for friends/etc. I work full-time but I've always enjoyed planting and things of that nature, so this would be more of a hobby and "let me prove to myself I can do this" personal test than anything else.

I also want to buy a reliable and relatively inexpensive bubbler, if anybody's got recommendations.

What is your living set up like? Wouldn't recommend growing unless you can dedicate space to it + are cool with your electricity bill going up + don't mind your domicile permeating the stench of that distractingly smelly smell

I have a lot of open land outdoors for growing, and the area I live in gets less than 28 inches of rain per year. It's basically sun 300+ days per year. I've got separate facilities for drying/trimming and all that, so wouldn't have to bring much of anything inside my actual living space.

Like I said, it'll probably be more trial and error and just figuring it out. I definitely don't expect to yield anything significant on the first try.
