When I was in Oregon I was talking to a shop owner about his ridiculously low prices (I got 3 joints just for walking in, not even buying anything) and he told me that Oregon gave out too many licenses and the Chinese and Albanians came in and undercut the market. If you had it for 1000 they sold it for 750. If you sold it for 750 they have it for 550.

NYS gave out too few licenses, and have ridiculous rules on top.

I honestly think some of the best highs I have are when I run out and I'm pulling a KingCobraJFS by smoking bowls of all the shake from 4-5 different strains mixed together.

Too many licenses were given out in NM. At one point there was close to 70 dispensaries in Las Cruces and the market was oversaturated, but a bunch have gone out of business at this point. New ones are still popping up, though.

This is a little weird. And I would guess it severely limits the market for growers. Outdoor grows depend solely on seasonal light changes, so you really only have one grow cycle annually this way. I feel like dispensaries are going to be "dry" come September or early October with this approach.

NY is still pretty new to the dispensary game though, right? MA prices were wildly high the first couple years too, but have started to level out. I assume the same will happen there eventually.

Grow update:
4 best plants are in the basement curing. Mrs. Escaped is thoroughly pissed about the smell in the house (despite this being something I've done 4 years running now) so it looks like this will be my last year growing unless we get divorced. Sucks, because it's something I enjoy doing. Giving the last 3 plants (still in the ground) to a couple friends who will cure and trim themselves. One of them runs the local free-play arcade though so I might never need to pay to get in there anymore.

Most outdoor growers are running light dep set ups and just creating the 12/12 when they need it. I’d imagine the soil growing has to do with water consumption in hydroponics.

My coworker has been giving me free shit that her boyfriend brings home from his dispensary job. Yesterday she randomly handed me a hunk of chocolate after my lunch break and was like “thats 25 mg” and today she gave me a disposable vape and some sort of thc powder that you mix into drinks. I’m pretty sure the vape is distillate which I don’t love but free shit is free shit.
