Just found (and slightly overpaid) for couple things I've been looking for for a long time; A KC-600 purple vinyl pressing of The Police Synchronicity, and an original pressing of Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five The Message. Both turned out to have VERY clean and completely noise free vinyl, so I'm not that upset at paying the higher end of Discogs prices for them

fucking lol guys, I just got a record in the mail sent in a large 16 x 16 box with record bubble wrapped just chilling inside. Of course record was inside the sleve. Shocked all I have is a corner bend and seam split tbh.
Real depop hours over here.

I've resorted to telling sellers to ship record outside the jacket at this point due to so many recent things showing up with record in jacket = seam splits.
Shit seems so obvious but dummies be dumb.

I guess I'm usually lucky, because I seldom get seam splits in shipping when the record is still in the jacket... BUT, I got something on 220g vinyl recently that basically separated the front from back covers on 3 sides like a knife. Couldn't even be mad, it was so fucking comical when I opened the package

Biggest issue I’ve had lately is cupping in the center of new records. I picked up a record weight a few months back which has helped while playing.
