I saw Migos and Chance the Rapper at Boston Calling the same year. I donβt listen to Chance anymore but he put on a fantastic performance. Migos totally phoned it in, which was disappointing

some of the best live rap you can see is old dudes. ive seen dj paul and 8ball and mjg absolutely kill it. project pat and juicy j at Memphis in May 2014 was incredible |

Having *some* type of live instrumentation vastly improves a lot of rap performances. Like it was mentioned, Nas is great live and each time I've seen him its been with a band. The only times where that i find that hasn't been needed was with someone like DMX or some hungry underground cat.

Saw The Roots on the Phrenology tour and they absolutely electrified that place. Never seen so many hot women at a show in my life, either. My buddy and I started realizing then that we were playing the wrong kind of music.

There's a video of Scowl playing recently, and some mullet starts crowd killing as soon as they start. Crowd killing sucks, but I understand it has its place in hardcore. However, if some midget with a mullet did it to me during that band, I would not be accepting of such dorky behaviour.

Paramore had the Farro brothers until 2010 when both quit in a very public row with Hayley including Josh (who was the bandβs primary songwriter / Hayleyβs ex) writing a lengthy statement calling her / Atlantic records out for basically setting the band up for failure. Hayleyβs deal with Atlantic was separate from the bandβs. Zac rejoined in 2017 but Josh never did. |

Not to prop up dudes original point but didn't Zac mention in his statement that it was always about Hayley/Hayley was always the band/talent in the eyes of the label? I'd been under the impression that Paramore was always the labels vehicle for Hayley's talent. |
