what happens if brendan pursued bsmooov rather than turnstile? do they continue and catch on in the same way with a different frontman? how different does hardcore look in 2021? is there an influx of hardcore kids making cutesy dance pop?

definitely saw them open for... wait for it... 311.
some parts of songs remind me of CKY and somehow it's in a good way.

I havnt given it a solid listen all the way through yet but there’s definitely more skippable tracks on this than anything else they’ve put out. Holiday and TLC are jams for sure. Why can’t they all sound like that?

i dunno, i have favorite bands where literally all the songs sound the same (ie. the spits) - i appreciate the variety and production. all the songs have at least one part that seem enjoyable to me/i kinda look forward to hearing so far, ya know?

i'm also old and am admittedly probably stanning this too hard. and like 311 and shelter. basically my hardcore taste has gotten whittled down to 90's power violence (+sex prisoner/rjc/zulu) and whatever this is.

bands should progress and have a bunch of people mad about it while getting new fans + making actual money. only some bands can do it in a non gross or boring way.

What’s funny is I was telling my wife today that exact same thing about every song has atleast one part in it that really catches me and makes me like it, even if the rest of the song is boring and uninteresting, even that one song that sounds like Tobys singing(that one part would be towards the end when he stops)
