I have an older ninja blender that goes pretty hard but I’m pretty sure you can find newer models for a decent price

Why wouldn't you buy a Vitamix if you're willing to spend money? I got mine at Target - clearance sticker made me say what the hell, why not, then it rang up another $100 lower than marked. I love it. I could convince myself to spend 200 bucks if I use my Best Buy card but I can’t qualify spending 500 on a kitchen item. But I am surprised that the nutribullet is so well liked! I didn’t it would be be strong enough to make cashew-based sauces. Makes sense. I ended up paying $230 but know that's not common.

Im vegetarian and my wife is vegan, so we fuck with a lot of faux meat cause we both don't give a shit about our health. It's awesome. She makes a bad ass tofu scramble burrito with soy chorizo and hashbrowns all up in it. We also fuck with Boca vegan patties and spicy chicken patties. So much good shit I can't even remember it all but yeee. I'm all about this thread.

At home I'm eating a lot of pumpkin right now. Pumpkin soup, pasta with creamy pumpkin, pumpkin stir fry, pumpkin cookies. I'm looking for a good pie crust recipe for apple pies and stuff. So far everything I've tried didn't really work out the way I wanted it too. I'm working with a really good oven and a glass pie plate so hardware can't be the problem.

Not vegan, simply vegetarian but GOD DAMN does Gardein make some serious products. I pretty much love everything I've tried of theirs but my faves would have to be their meatloaf, fishless filets (oddly taste and feel just like, what I remember, fish tasting like), the chikn sliders/patties as a whole, Mandarin orange crispy chikn, porkless bites, and BBQ wings.
The Beyond Meat products are pretty killer too. I like to get their chikn strips and mix in some buffalo sauce to make some flame buffalo strips.
I'm also a fan of kale chippies. Pre-heat oven to 375. Fill a baking sheet with kale and sprinkle on some nutritional yeast for flavor. Bake about 7 or so minutes, flip, add more nootch, bake for another 7 or so. Let sit for a few minutes and feel free to yeast to taste then enjoy.

I started following a group on fb called the seitan appreciation society recently, some of the recipes look complicated as hell but the end products are amazing.

The texture of the jerky was perfect. I'm also looking forward to see if the Victoria vegan vodka sauce is good.

It’s so good everytime I have it out but I’ve tried at least 5 times with it coming out like arse. I guess the way you cook it depends on what kind of dish it’s going in. We used to make doner kebabs at my old cafe and we’d just mix wet and dry ingredients then put it in a roasting dish and cook for 45 minutes or so before slicing and frying with a bunch of spices to order. There’s a few recipes here which are meant to be really good although they look pretty time-consuming: thegentlechef.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/The-Gentle-Chef-Holiday-eCookbook.pdf

What are some good sources of b12 that arent vitamins? I don’t cook a lot so I do a lot of raw veggies, and I try to use the least amount of soy based stuff possible. Any tips? Nutritional yeast!

Gardein is so good. I tried their holiday roast for the first time this Christmas and it was amazing. Even non vegan/vegetarian relatives loved it. Their chick’n sliders are my favourite, with added vegan mayo and shredded lettuce they taste just like a McChicken.

Looks like starting the 1st in Vegas and the 2nd nation wide. McDonalds is testing their vegan burger in Chicago before rolling it out. It's more like an Indian samosa burger, so might be interesting? Their fries aren't even vegetarian in the States though, which is irritating. For the burger, make sure you get no cheese and no mayo, it everything else is vegan. Also, everything I'm finding says the fries are vegan too so you should be good to go! Also I need more cheap and easy foods to eat, I'm having soy chorizo with black beans like 4 days a week haha
